Matha Stewart on Sale

Oh my goodness, I just had to share this with you guys, the Martha Stewart fourth of July stuff and some of her other stuff is on sale at Michaels right now. I got a ton of stuff for 50-75 percent off. What a steal, I have already been to two different Michaels and hopefully onto two more by tommorow. I am a total psycho for clearance items. I'm talking matchbox craft sets for $2, glittered stickers for $2 dollars the pack of fourth of July glitter for $4.99, and there are flower stickers with the faux blooms for $2, all sorts of stuff that I think was more the summer craft theme. So hurry up and head on out. I'll shre a picture of m stash with you later. Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend, until next time!

Friday the Thirteenth!

Well I have never been superstitious about Friday the 13 before but after the morning I had I am starting to wonder. I think it is less than three weeks that I have been in my new position and I have already had to fill out an accident report. Nothing serious mind you more disgusting than anything.

So today wearing my comfy open toe sandals I had to move some stuff around in storage so I could ship out some stuff to an upcoming trade show. Well not fully paying attention I moved some plastic stairs that apparently had wheels on the bottom. Never noticed this until it was to late mind you. So I stacked the stairs over against the wall on their side and it rolled right out and managed to catch my big toe nail and ripped the sucker right off almost half gone. At first I thought I had just been bumped and then well let's just say this is when I noticed that my red toe nail polish seems to be all over my toe. Talk about gross, so I had to walk up a flight of stairs and half way across work or it seemed that endless today to reach a bathroom for some tissues. Seriously my big toe nail come on I just painted them!

I did try and take a photo for you guys but in all honesty it is pretty nasty. So I thought I would keep it to myself. So Renee's new goal try not to walk into things and watch all of my body parts at once. I am a natural born klutz but these are my toes we are talking about I want to be able to still wear sandals without scaring small children you know.

In other news the sweetest women is holding a cupcake swap, I would have her button on here but my mac is being evil with Blogger and won't upload it. Anyways go check her out The Little Bluebird Diaries. She is just amazing personally and she has alot on her plate right now so stop on over and wish her some good vibes and kind words. Until later I am off to try and do some cosmetic surgery on my big toe, it is summer you know and I am so not giving up my sandals yet! Yes I am vain, never new I was this vain especially about a toe, but come on who wants screaming children huh!

New Jewelry Added

Hey guys just a quick note added some new jewelry over at Vintage Recreations, so stop on by. I also added what I call Bits & pieces Junk Bag, they are bags of dismembered vintage jewelry for crafting or creating jewelry, pretty good price, and it totally helps me out, I need to get rid of some of my stash I can barely move in my studio.

So sad to say I am getting rid of some stuff and trying to slow down with the buying part which is so hard. Vintage pieces are so unique and so fun to find. Anyways off to do some work around the house, still trying to get used to the new job, love it but learning so much right now I am so exhausted. I don't know how all of you moms keep up with your work and businesses and your kids. I am feeling run down and I don't even have any kids yet. You are all amazing! Until later!

This last week my mail box has been filled with fun samples and swap goddies.
Thanks so much from Wendy down Under, she made me this lovely matchbox, in my favorite colors. Man, did she jam the goodies in there too plus that hankie you see that is what she so creatively wrapped my matchbox in. Thank you Wendy you are so sweet and just a lovely women. You really need to start a blog missy! Anyways it has been a pleasure and I hope you like what I sent you, although I am feeling like I fell under for creativity on this one. Also as ussual I forgot to take photos of my matchboxes which I sent Wendy two cause I wasn't creative enough in jamming it full.

Also I owe miss Deena an apology she sent me some good mail, jeez I think it has been at least two weeks now and it is the cutest notebook that I snapped it up so fast and am currently using it at work, hence the no picture. Deena thank you though that was super cute and super sweet of you and the pen is great too. Sorry it took me so long to blog about it, I kept thinking I needed a photo of it and then i would keep leaving it at work!

Not so Smart

So girls I thought it was my duty to share this story with you all. I have been madley working on a ribbon wall. I am using the wood dowels and the tacking them up on the wall concept. Great idea huh, well it is definately clearing up space for me because I have amassed quite a large amount of ribbon in the last year, vintage of course. Well, my studio which is just distrasterous, hence no photo of the ribbon wall, YET! Anyways I decided to move the ribbon racks up some and all I have in my studio is a rolly chair. Yes here is where the drama begins, I have become very good at balancing myself on this rolly chair, on tile mind you. However perhaps I wasn't thinking when I went to slide that cute little tack into the wall and well mt resistance and shoved that little pin in! I am sure you can just guess what is coming next. That blasted chair was no longer under my control, I managed to stay standing on the chair as it managed to find the only clear path in my studio as all six of my newly pinned up ribbon racks came tumbling off the wall. Yes the ribbon was already on them organized by type and color mind you.
What's next you ask, well the door bell rings, our guests are here, and here I am still standing on my rolly chair with ribbon still plunking down the wall. So sad but it gave me a giggle and still does now well lets just hope I remember rolly chairs are so not good to stand on. Also do not try and do home improvement when you are expecting guests. They don't always understand while you are laughing hilarously while standing admist a ton f ribbon pooled all over the floor.

So please live through my mistakes and use a solid thing when standing and trying to tack things into your wall! Until next time!
