Definately Monday

Whoo I am just exhausted tonight but much to my surprise and delight I had a ton of mail. I just love fun mail, I could go broke ordering things and then waiting for them to show up. I will share some photos of the goodies that Maria sent me and show some additions that I have been adding to the store tonight. First for the goodies,

She was so sweet to host the swap and she did such a lovely job on mine, I have been partnered with Maria before and she never disappoints, she is a talented artist.

Now on to the new goodies, be prepared to be over whelmed with pictures. Then head over to the store and snatch these babies up.

First we have some Vintage Lockets with a great Starburst design.

Next we have some Vintage Lucite. Next We have some Knick Knacks and Paddi Wacks

Some lovely Floral Cabs that of course are vintage.

Plus my all time favorite right now Vintage plastic Flowers in a new Rainbow Mix, with bigger and better flowers.

So that was a total mouthful, I am off to take the dog out and take a bath, i think I need some time to relax and read a book. Until next time.

P.S. I have been working on some new jewelry so if I can sneak it into work and take some photos with the cooll camera, I will show and tell some of it. Stay tuned I am reading this great new book regarding creative people and their business or well turning it into a business and I highly reccomend this book.

My Newest Collection

I started collecting vintage corsages this year, right before Christmas and man these buggers are hard to find. I just adore these, aren't they just the cutest. I always wonder what was it purchased for, what event, what memories just lie awaiting with this beautiful piece.
The White and yellow one is from Vintage This Retro That. The Christmas one I got from Candy Connection 22. They both did a wonderful job as sellers and look at their pics, lovely aren't they.So as you can see I am quite addicted to them and they are making me get way deep! Now I just have to figure out how to display them, I like that all of them have come in the original box, so I don't want to lose those boxes but I would like to display them some how so I can see them, but I don't have to worry about sun damage or pet damage! If you guys have any ideas I would love to hear. So far I only have 3 to my name and two of them being Christmas ones. Hmm please help!

Winners I have Winners!

Whoo it has been one crazy weekend and i am sad to say that it is over. I have been madly working on some swaps and running around the house like a mad woman trying to find my lost glue gun. Two hours later ah ha that is where I hid it before company was coming over. Found and finished one of my swaps here are some pics. My partner is Maria from the Junk Drawer, so maria look away I am mailing this out tomorrow. But first we have winners, Ms. Porter over at Porter's Ponderings is the winner of the fabulous vintage flower mix, and Genevieve over at Ella Enchanted is the winner of the kitty necklace. So I will be sending you guys some emails shortly to get some addresses. Other than that it is absolutely freezing in MN, like below zero lately. Being the brave girl I am I headed out this morning, well late this morning to an estate sale and filled a bag up for ten dollars. got to love that. They have these bag sales the last day towards the middle of the day and you can jam pack those bags full for a certain dollar amount. it varies from sale to sale. I must say though soon as they announce it the place goes mad with people grabbing and filling there bags so fast, I had one woman grab a dress off the hanger as i was looking at it and i still had one of my paws on it. People can get so crazy. Alas it is Monday tomorrow so i leave you with my swap photos.

Oh crumbs you can't see any of the pretty detail work i did on the old photo, granted I really suck at collaging, but I really liked this when I finished it. Oh well hopefully Maria will like it.

Until next time!

100th Post! Giveaways!

Okay so I have been stressing out about what to write for the 100th post. It has to be great right! After long debating just putting the whole thing off for awhile and not worrying I just decided to ramble as usual and giveaway some prizes. That should keep you guys busy, right?
So here we go the great giveaway. The first one is a mesh of vintage plastic flowers and vintage cabochons, from my latest wholesale shopping spree. Beautifully wrapped up for the upcoming Valentines Holiday.

Next we have this sly little kitty pink of course for the holiday. okay maybe more purple than pink but close enough for Valentines.

So ladies and gents if you want to get in on the prizes well leave a comment and this weekend, I will pull a name and wa la it is yours. Yes we will have two winners, trying to spread the love and joy around.

Now back to our scheduled ramblings. This is where my little Lo who has been quite the little stinker lately likes to hide out.

I know your thinking isn't she cute, not when you are a. trying to clip her nails. B, when you are panicking because she suddenly disappears and you can't find her by calling her name. Yes she is hiding in the bed usually. C when she sits on top of the couch and pushes the blinds up with her nose and barks at anything that moves, of course she usually waits until I leave the room and then starts barking. She knows mom is lazy when she is on the computer and won't get up until she barks several times. Then the little cute thing pretends that she wasn't the one creating all of that ruckus, it must be another dog.

Granted with a face like that and all of the hugs and kisses one person could need form a pet yes she is my baby and I love her even though she can be a tad crazy at times. But isn't she just the cutest!

Just a quick note, thank yo to all of the wonderful people that I have met through this blog, I am touched by how truly wonderful and supportive you all are. Plus it is nice to know that there are others just like me, messy and creative all at once. Until next time.

P.S. If you would prefer one or the other please mention it in your comment and don't forget to leave me some contact info! Good luck you guys!

99th Post and Counting!

Well as you can tell from the title it is my 99th post, I know can you believe it? I sure can't. Anyways look what I got today,

I am so excited I started trying to figure out the program this afternoon. I started researching hard core about last year this time. I have since given up my subscription to ancestry due to costs, but for some reason I feel compelled to try and move forward. I am having a lucky streak on my mom's side since they have been in the states longer than my dad's side. Which to say the least is going no where due to the fact that I can't read Ukrainian. Anyways if your interested you can download a demo here. It works great with Macs and I am in love, I just have a lot to learn now.

Other than that I have discovered that Blogger works way better on FireFox rather than Safari. I couldn't link on Safari or spell check without entering the code myself, which is to say I would rather hit a button than code myself. So I am trying for zero spelling errors from now on. I think my fingers just type faster than my brain.Anyhoo keep on the look out for my 100th post coming up soon, for hopefully a fabulous giveaway. I haven't a clue what but I am thinking! Until then!

Flowers Everywhere

Well you all know I tend to get a tad crazy when ordering things in the new year, I kind of bought to much. So chekc out some of the new items going into my Etsy shop hopefully by the end of today. So chck them out at Vintage Recreations.

I am so in love with these flowers they are great for anything, from scrapbooking, to jewelry, to additons to clothing and purses. So many things these guys can be used for.

Hope your all having a great weekend! Also this is my 98th post almost to 100, and I don't think it has even been a year yet, almost but not quite if memory serves. Granted my memory doesn't always serve but you know what I mean. Until next time.

Books I Thee Love

I love this author, Mary Janice Davidson, and she is local to Minnesota too. She writes these great books, very fast reads, but the characters she creates are just hilarious with their personalities. You can check out her site Here.

This series about Queen Betsy, is my favorite of hers. Very witty and hey who doesn't love to read about characters in her own hometown. Plus did I mention how much I love this author. So if your looking for a quick read, nothing to serious more fun, than definitely check this author out, and may I suggest you start with her undead series. You can tell because all of the titles start with undead and something. Hilarious I tell. So when you cable, phone, and Internet go out, just like mine did yesterday, I say hit the bookshelves or library.

Curious how I am doing without a nihgt of Internet. Well, I know it was awful, especially being without the Internet, the TV I can manage, but the web! Let's jsut say at least I had a few good books handy, otherwise I would still be pulling out my hair.
