Can You Keep a Secret?

So I have been somewhat, okay very much quiet the last couple of weeks, being a very bad blogger. But something is in the works and I hopefully wil be anouncing it very soon. It's something that I am so excited about. So just wait and be patient, I am hoping to announce it very soon, and grams no I am not pregnant.
What, I can't be the only one with realatives harrasing me!

Thrifty Goodness

Alas I have finally hit the jack pot thrifting. I found a ton of cool vintage ribbon, velvet and flocked. I was so excited, and then I found some crochet thread, not sure why I had to buy all of it, this will probably last me for a good ten years.
I always start stuff, never quite finish it.

Let's see I was just having such a good time, I love it when I go on the hunt and actually find some fun stuff. Now I just have to reogranize my studio better because it is a huge disaster. So bad I am embarrassed to even show you a picture.

Happy Mother's Day

Mom Happy Mothers Day, I am so lucky to have you for a mom. You have always been there pushing and helping me in my pursuits and all of my creative endeavers.
Here is a funny story I would love to share with all of you out there. When I graduated high school my mom wanted me to check out this private college that was a fine arts college. I have always been a very creative person and my mom thought this would be a perfect place for me to go. Well when I was eighteen I wanted to be a lawyer, so I told my mother that I so did not want to be a starving artist. Since my mom couldn't find the school, it had just seemed to have vanished, she let it go.
So I went to the university of Minnesota in pursuit of eventually becoming a lawyer with a minor in pyschology. Two years into college I decided to take a break, I was enjoying my freedom and college days far more than any of my classes. Now fast forward two years, I decided to go back to college and I had found this really quaint small private college, called the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul. So I applied and got an interview, I was so nervous my mom came with me and low and behold this was the college that she had been talking about four years before. They had changed names, funny how things work out isn't it. I graduated with a bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Communication Design. I guess when they say mother always knows best, well it seems like sometimes they do. So thank you mom for everything, you are so the best mom. Love you and Happy Mother's Day!

It's in the Mail

Just a quick note to tease the Good Mail girls, keep your eyes on your mailbox! I just sent out five packages today, maybe one of them is to you!

One of Those Days!

Ever have one of those days that just doesn't go the way it should? That is the type of day I am having, first I fall off of my steps While I am trying to let the dog out, dropping the leash. Now my little dog Lola is terrified of the blue handle, so she is slightly whining and running loose as the evil blue handle is chasing behind her. I am still lying on my back, laughing at this point, exactly where I landed after missing three steps. So as a wonderful dog owner and Grrl Genius I somehow managed to grab some of the leash as my dog is running past me, still on the ground mind you and I caught it. So the attack of the big blue handle was over, so she is fine, but still a little scared and proceeds to crawl into my lap, as I sit up wondering if I have torn my new favorite Pj's. Well no tear thank goodness I have only had these for about a week at this point. I pull up the leg of the Pj's to see I justed scuffed up my knee, which I am getting way to old to have scabs on my knees during this point of my life.

All in all after that and some anoying people calling me at work it has been overall a good day, but I think I am ready to pack it in and just hide out at home and hope that tommorow will be much more pleasant, granted I can now laugh at my klutzyness. My dog however is probably different but I reccomend to watch your stairs, sometimes they have evil intentions! Are there any other klutzes out there besides me? Until then!

It's My Lucky Day

It is so my lucky day or it was last Thursday thanks to Jennifer. I was actually home sick and I recieved my first good mail from her. So thank you Jennifer you really made my day, it was so nice to get this when I was feeling really kind of icky. How's this for scary I had this awful cold so I took some cold medicine. Ever since they put it behind the counter my favorite cold medicine apparently has been eliminated, so I thought I would try something new. Well the stuff I picked apparently didn't work with me I ended up having an allergic reaction to it. So no more of that kind, long story short it really made my day to see the bright and colorful sticker that said, "Good Mail." Just check out what she sent me to, i now have my own Good Mail sticker and some great colorful ribbon, and a beautfiul card that I think she made. So thanks again Jennifer, and to all you Good Mail Girls out there keep checking your mail box I am sending out six packages this week. Until then!

GOOD MAIL

I recently came across the idea of GOOD MAIL, courtesy of Christy . Now remember I am new to blogging so if you have heard of this before try not to roll yours eyes and think newbie. It's the idea of sending someone something, anything nice in the mail. I don't know about you, but I love getting the mail, most days I don't always like all of the bills, but every once in awhile you get something that can completely brighten your day.
